Dorothy Wallace Able, fondly known as "Dotty" and "Chick", is a native of Charlotte, NC.  She is the mother of 3 young adult children and is also raising her 9 year old great nephew who has been diagnosed with autism and ADHD. She is currently awaiting the arrival of her first grandchild, who is the inspiration for her first book, You Are Loved.

 

She is the owner and director of a youth enrichment program where she has shown much love and touched the lives of many youths and their families. She feels that it is important to educate, empower and equip our youth with the tools necessary to become successful and productive citizens while building self-esteem and Godly character. Her motto is empowering youth today, for a better tomorrow!

 

Dorothy preached her initial sermon and is an ordained Elder of Friendship Christian Church, Gastonia, NC under the leadership of Bishop John A. McCullough, II and Lady Dekota Grier McCullough. She passionately serves as Director of the Pastoral Care Ministry. She also humbly serves with the College of Elders, Missionary Ministry, Prayer Team and Mass Choir.

Dorothy enjoys listening to gospel and jazz music. She likes to read and cook also. She has developed a passion for writing inspirational books for youth and families. You Are Loved, is the first of many heart warming books to come.
